| I'm with you on that, Tony. From the side mirrors back; it looks like a new gen civic. | |

| LoL and you bumped vixens car for one you don't like... I miss the little bugeye when i log in haha.
.... a daily... you must have too much money burning a hole in your pocket.
I'm reserving total judgement until i see HP numbers I hope subaru does atleast a 20-30 HP bump, Fattening car over the years with NO hp has been quite sad IMO. Performance is the only thing that can make the ugly be overlooked.

| This happens everytime subaru releases a new body style. Everyone screams it ugly and looks like this or that. Just look back to when they made the STi a hatchback only. A lot of people thought it sucked. Give it time. It will grow on you like all Subarus do. Me personally I like the looks. I do hope there is a power bump though. It really needs it. | |

| I can't imagine all the work that goes into creating the looks of a new car. It has to be designed in way to meet many legal and safety standards as well as the "country" of California's environmental requirements. I think it would be a fun and challenging job to have in creating a car. :-) | |

| That's why they have huge team of individuals doing it. the funny part is the smaller the team it seems the sexier the cars come out.
I realize subie's aren't supposed to be sexy, and they will change it around a little. I still think the hawkeye is the sexiest STI made. No offense to anyone just my opinion.
they NEED more just to keep up with when the car was lighter. I know that no manufacture wants to make their car fat. but if we just look at all of the things done that there isn't much control over.
Air Bags.. not just the ones in the wheel. but the ones in the seats, the side curtains, the ones they are wanting for people in the rear, etc. there is also the expectations to make a car "nicer" and this is done through sound deadening. Vixen's car was, and IS a tin can. I've added some sound deadener to the trunk. and a little to the doors a bit... you tap the head liner or close a door, you get a "ding" of sound transferring through the metal. Newer Impreza's tend to be nicer. but all that NICE comes at a weight disadvantage.
This is why my black car will seem like an aluminum can lol. noisy no radio... very little sound deadening. no rear seat, etc. with a goal of being in the 2800's on weight.

| I'm partial to the bugeye look. I wouldn't consider it mean or sexy looking. Its a love or hate kind of style depending on a person's preference. | |

| lol im in the 2700's on weight steve, get on my level. and this isnt an ugly car or anything, to me it just doesnt scream WRX. i feel the same way about the 08's and up, which i love those cars, but IMO they dont look crazy enough to continue the WRX line. | |

| Is it just me or does the newer cars look a lot like Toyota since they went in with the BRZ/FR-S together?
Also, the side picture if you click on that link, looks exactly like how the EVO Xs are. From the back of the fender, door and skirt..

| I actually like it. Not gonna lie, though, for my next car I'm probably buying an evo. I'm tired of spending $$$$ on top of $$$$ to make half the power I would if I had an evo, lol. | |

| I am disappointed on he spec sheet. The car is heavier and has the same power. Also not a big fan of the interior. No more center mounted tac. | |

| a few differences. but 04 is a wee bit lighter.
honestly 2000-2001 S4 would very likely be my choice of money pit over an STI. people are buying a badge with the STI when an FTX or a WRX for that matter with replacing 99% of the same parts you would replace on an STI anyway would net you the same thing. ... only thing that MAKES the STI awesome is the transmission.

| 1st pic looks like an Evo... Honestly the launch edition sounds like a gimmick... But you gotta admit, WRB on gold is just gorgeous! Anyways, I'm happy with mine And still on the search for a nice set of gold wheels | |
