| Thats the next gen wrx engine. I think they are putting it in that new version of the outback sport. They have a new name for it but I cant remember what they are calling it. and man thats a tiny turbo. I honestly think they are cocentrating too much on wrc. Sure its cool but Im not a fan of the low displacement. Also that location of the turbo is going to really limit the aftermarket. yeah I can honestly say Im not excited for the next wrx. Ive also heard its going to be a smaller hatchback, more fiesta-like. | |

| Well since wrc has gone to the 1.6l, well see what happens. I would love to see Subaru get back into world competition again! | |

| That turbo is really small and I don't even think a TD04 will fit there. Would need a new header that extends the turbo out further so you could put a bigger turbo on it then you would need a custom downpipe.
I hope this motor isn't the 'turbo' motor that goes in the BRZ... | |

| There is no way that this motor would work in the BRZ platform. This is my thought since the motor is mounted so much lower in the car. Subaru's engineers need to hit the paper again... | |

| This is a really similar setup to the nissan juke. 1.6L tiny undermount turbo. I don't forsee this being in wrx or brz, probably more like the impreza sport or the new crossover they have thats like a forester size impreza sport. Way too small of a displacement to be useful in wrx and sti, especially considering there is a power bump in both. | |
